Malens has the roundels underneath
His was flown as part of 74 Sqn in Aug 1940, so nearly a year later
Between April 1939 and June 1940 underside rounds were generally omitted, there was also a day/night scheme that had one wing painted black and one white, with the nose, rear fuselage and tail planes painted a pale blue.
There was also a short period with the ailerons painted opposite from the main wing colours
