Yeah I got away with it because all I do is fly this one flight simulator. The rig as purchased (on board video with 48 Mb of shared RAM from the system, 128 Mb of RAM, a P4 @ 1.6 Ghz) played MS CFS2 very well until Il-2 Forgotten Battles came out. Then I bought an nvidia GeForce 5500 FX, AGP video card with 256 Mb of card RAM and upped the system RAM to 512; so it was fine again. Then Pacific Fighters came along so I upgraded the card to an nvidia GeForce 7300 with 512 Mb of card RAM, and the CPU to 2.8 Ghz and 2 Gb of system RAM. The original drive went so I upgraded again to the two internal HDD's I have now. Two 7,500 RPM, 80 Gb Western Digital IDE drives. That's been about 5 years so far. And all along the MoBo is the same.
So... now I prepare for Storm of War. And how? Start saving cash. Lots of cash.
