New version is the finished model, released by its creators, instead of the unfinished one that got leaked and has been on various sites for a while.
It has its own damage model, shadow model, a new 3D engine with working radiator, fixed bug with ailerons that made both move up and down together, new details, fixed lighting problems, and now uses 1024x1024 skin textures instead of 512x512.
BTW, I don't have anything to do with this mod, those are just the difference I've seen looking at the two models.
