Problem solved! 
I renamed the bob_fields.tga lines in the map's load.ini to SL_bob_fields.tga, according to those I found in my mapmods/maps/Tex/land/summer folder. This enabled me to load the map. Then, I realized that I only had insterted the relevant lines for the Infantry Mod but NOT the mod itself in my mods folder. So I did, and I can now enjoy this work of art! Many thanks again to the map makers and to all those that offered advise! 8)
