thats why i just put my money in to duel gtx260s. the superclocked versions are now $200. I bought 2 and a 750w psu. this setup sould push my sli board for atleast a one or two years before I have to look into updating my q6600 to a i7. but ofcoarse then I'll have to do a mobo and redo my liquid cooling then to. But the point is, if your going to upgrade, just get 260's. you dont need 480s or whatever the new quad cards are called. You already got a sli board right. Dual gtx260s are going to dim the lights on my whole block. my neighbors are going to know when I'm gaming.
I get all this in the mail monday, I will tell you how it works out. my total bill is $550usd. My current fps in black death with vert sync ON is avg48. I'll post my MW2 and BC2 results also. my current fps are bout 35-40 in both. This is going to be an upgrade from dual 9500gt to SLI gtx260's. I'm on a p5n-d board w/ a q6600 quad (OCed to 3.2ghz on liquid). I run IL-2 at 1600x900 (60mhz), in split screen sli (runs better then alt screen sli cuz il-2 isnt made for sli). Its like running each card at a rez of 800x450. And rez has a big inpact on fps. I can loxwer to 1280x720 and gain 25 fps in most games. MW2 and BC2 dont run split frame sli. but AFR(true SLI) is what their made for.
