[quote="goshikisen"]One of the first books I ever owned on WWII aircraft was the Squadron/Signal "In Action" book on the Superfortress. "Joltin Josie" stands out in my mind as one of the prominent colour profiles in that book... it'd be nice to see her in the game.
I made up a series of B-29 markings in Illustrator a while back and tried my hand at a NM skin. Didn't think there was much interest in them so I never released them. It would be great to see a proper NM skin made for the Superfortress. 90% of the aircraft that flew in B-29 Squadrons were all over NM.... one skin could form the basis of almost any aircraft you wanted. I'd always kinda hoped someone like Compans (who made some incredible NM B-17 skins) or Hammerd might turn their attention to the Superfortress.
For what it's worth... here's the material I was working on and a sample of the skin with some markings. If anyone's interested I could upload them... and maybe try my hand at the Josie art.
I know the book well- in fact I used it extensively when doing the above illustration for a book cover in around 1977.
