After reading these posts it is clear that your joystick choice is a very personal one. Sort of like shoes or a similar item that is personal. Getting advice and feedback is always a good idea. I personally HAVE to have, a separate throttle. In my Opinion it is imperative for a separate throttle control within the flight sim realm. Just as I have to have a particular kind of shoe while I am working, because I am on my feet nearly 12 hrs a day. Maybe you do not need special shoes as I do. (Just to make the point)
I personally have the Logitech G940, I got this because I wanted a dual throttle control, and I wanted to "feel" the aircraft through the force feed back. I wanted to increase the immersive quality of the game.
I started with the first Saitek (don't remember the model) and used it till it fell apart. I have gone through several of the Saitek's (with the Throttle) and loved them all. I hated the Cyborg. It feels "Cheap"
Good Luck
