I think you need to do a little more work on the model first.
Have you compared it with photos of the real thing?
You are using way too many polys on the fuselage for example, and yet still it does not look exactly right because you have not "smoothed" the surfaces. Lots of important details missing.
Are you working "by eye" or with blueprints setup in your modelling software?
If you look at the plan Fisneaky has provided you can see that the sides of the fuselage should be slightly curved on plan.
If you overlay your model on the plan they should line up closely.
At the moment there is significant variation between the plan and the model.
Introduce more vertices where you need them, but reduce them where you don't.
... Well, this is my first real 3d model. And i don't exactly know how to smooth, and yes, i am working by my eye. (which aren't the best,
I might add  ) I've looked for smoothing tutorials for Blender, and can't find any. Unless I'm not searching the right thing. of course.,
Also, Since Sani is working on a Huey, i decided to make a MH-53 Pave Low. (Just for the fun of it)
Lol, looks better than my F-104, too. hock: I'm looking at a texturing tutorial right now, so i might add pics of it.
