I always wondered why this wasn't in the game to start.

Because....

1 - It never saw active service with any air force at all

2 - It did not convince the RLM that it was ever going to be a briliant fighter.

3 - IL2 is a game about flying Russian ground attack missions, though it has expanded its repetoire over the years, but so far flying prototypes doesn't come within the official remit.
