Just to be sure that we all know:
The weak link, so to speak, will determine the transfer speed. In other words, if philip.ed has a reliable and fast InterNet provider connection, let's say 50 mb/sec, and the Seeder has less for whatever reason, then he can get at most the weak link's transfer rate.
Added to this is the fact that the Seeder might not be aware of intermittent rate or interrupted connection because of any of a number of reasons.
Despite this, some people get fortunate and receive the whole download in just a few minutes.
The torrents will never stop until there are no more Seeders. That will be an indication that the download has no more demand.
It is generally a good idea to leave the torrent running while you sleep, both Seeds and Peers.
