New SCW Campaign: "Attack on Malaga"
#1

As we now have a Heinkel He-51C, I have built a campaign for it! It is a lovely biplane, seriously undergunned, but nimble. And I wanted to use Agraciers very fine map over Andalucia as the basis for it. And the subject came pretty naturally: the battle for Malaga in early 1937.

And now it's ready!

You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?n...ils&id=707

There you will also find links to download the He-51C, the new Junkers Ju-52 bomber and the map over Andalucia.

It is a semi-historical, 10-mission static campaign, where you are a Spanish Nationalist pilot flying the Heinkel He-51C fighter, obviously. (In one mission you will fly the Miles Magister, which used by both sides in this conflict.) After the failure of the Nationalists to capture Madrid and the Republican counterattack at the Battle of the Corunna Road, the Nationalists are seeking to regain the initiative. A 40 kilometer wide strip of land in southern Spain along the Mediterranean Sea, centering on the city of Malaga, is held by the Republicans. This is to be the Nationalists new target...

It also uses Ranwers bomber Ju-52. (I built it using the old Ju-52 bomber mod, but it seems to work without a hitch with the new version, which is of course better.)

Included in this campaign is 22 skins, the work of the following skinners: Tchaika, Caldrail, Mangas, Metatron, 1-Thirteen, H-K, Snorri Bradhawk, Imme, UF_josse, Char_aznable, Foo-bar and (not least) Murdoc (who very quickly did a wonderful He-51C skinpack). The skins can be installed more or less automatically.

I also plan to make a special version of this campaign, featuring the DH-89 Dragon Rapide (a frankenplane if there ever was one), and MissionBug has kindly made skins for it. But first I'm trying to get that mod a little more available for the average user, download-wise.

Thanks for looking! Smile
