it works good and running HSFX works fine when activated
I run SAS Mods in my MODS folder I created and can deactivate the MODS folder whenever I like.
One install,
two versions and so many extra MODS that I could not begin too list them all
all in one installation of IL-2
Multiple installs are almost not needed anymore,
except for very advanced users who like to play with there files more than the actual game
I use to run many installs ete,
and now find I don't even use HSFX anymore and am only UP 2.01 Online
Off line I activate my MODS folder for a extremely nice full blown Modded game
IMO UP 2.01 is one of the better way's of Modding IL-2 if you want to just mod it and forget it
leaving the opportunity to add individual Mods to an already great compilation of Mods
Of course.... this is only IMHO
Nail on the head my friend!! the simplicity of adding and taking away mods is a quick selling point for me, I am not the most tech savvy guy to start with, and the UP pack, if you pay attention to the install instructions is way easy to install. All the new mods coming out are easy installed, and at SAS they update buttons regularly to keep in step with all the great craft that comes out. The maps are amazing!! With all the tweaking of eye candy in UP, I think the graphics almost would go toe to toe with the new game thats coming out one of these days, with minimal frame rate drop ( I have my settings to perfect and don't get one stutter)!!
has a direct control to switch to HSFX for those groovy SEOW online campaigns:
Plus: EXE enablers to help boost game play graphics for all types machines, old and new:
