Do you see the UP 2.1 load screen? It should be of a FW190 and a Spitfire, and there should be a dog tag and a small Zuti mod emblem. If your not seeing that screen I'd say there's something wrong. I'm not sure, but I think the difference between your two 4.09's is that one is beta and UI related. When I played UP2.1 for the first time I noticed a huge difference, both in smoothness and new planes. In QMB all the added planes will have symbols next to them like "~" or "*" to denote them as new planes or tweaked flight models. A lot of this should be covered over at UP though. Good luck.
