I play offline only,RB3D I did not like at all
Never have liked true Arcade games
CFS2 still to me ,has had the absolute best Mission Builder ever made
Hard to master but a very good MB
Yes the CK as we new it was made to be too big from the start, and was doomed to fail because of it
A map and a couple planes would have been a good start, then add as you go
Rather than trying to create a half a dozen planes right of the get go
You may call it sour grapes I suppose lol
After a couple of years of building it up,too find out that this other Sim has been in the works for over a year or more already
Is kind of deceiving to say the least!
Who is too say that all this is ,not like that lol
I will believe it when I see it
In the end, what I have seen so far of this new Sim does not do it for me
I already have "Vehicle Simulator" which is basically what this new Sim is
I already have all the Planes DM has posted at another website that are downloadable
In essence, there the Models that were supposedly made for CK
I have already had these Models in my Vehicle Simulator and have been flying them lol
for a year now!
And I don't like the Sim myself,it looks extremely Arcadish although was a good free Sim ,
until now.... lol
They charge money for it now lol
Seems to me that since DM has started to become involved over there...
and the more he was putting his CK IL-2 models into that Sim...
Well, they now charge 40 Bucks to buy the sim lol
Of course you can download it for free and fly basic 5 min. flights to see if you like it
All kind of sounds like the New CK too me
Naw,not sour grapes just very disillusioned with it all
this is more commercialism than anything, you'll see
Seeing as I have had CK models in my Vehicle Simulator for over a year now,
I have a little experience with this Sim and what at all it or could really ever be
It will make the RB3D crowd happy I think, but will never make a true IL-2 player happy IMHO
With my experience I have with the Simulator that this new CK is going to be based on.
I really can not see it ever being able to be Modded to the point to be even near what IL-2 is
Some cool features ete,but the over all sim is far from the Realm of IL-2

Red Baron 3 D's Single player dynamic Campaign manager still rocks anything that can be built into IL2 or Rise of Flight for single player campaigns.
Yes NFM was very arcadish...AFM...not so especially if you used Western Front Patch or the other additions.
IL2 has many visual great features that even RoF is unable to master as of yet.
Not knowing how much you played RB3d, my guess you played it mostly on line...which is a shame because it had some great features. And by its last days it had been morphed far beyond its original stock game much like IL2 has, of course unlike IL2 that evolution will not beable to continue because it cannot be taken any further.
IL2 could have taken WW 1 to that next level, obvious there were too many ambitious goals set for the IL2 Canvas KNight team, mainly there was a shortage manpower on the importing side...and as the goals were not able to be realized it came time to change as DM said.
IT would seem to me Apollo your whole point of your posts is to express your sour grapes....
