I was in a coop one evening, flying a BoB mission in a 109, and was RTB. Only one enemy plane remained, and being AI, it was stupid enough to go and chase some German planes back across the Channel to our base. I was out of cannon rounds and low on mg rounds, and figured the AI would get to it first, so I decided to land. While I was coming around on final approach the Spit took a direct flak hit and the pilot bailed.
Right after touching down a friend on TS told me the chute was at my 10 o'clock - I slowed to a stop, held brakes, full left rudder, a little throttle.... he was directly in front of me, and seemed the right height. Waaaaaaaaay too tempting! :twisted:
Boy what a shot, one quick burst and he was dead, another burst and it was a fast ride down to the ground. Just luck, but as I said the temptation was too great and it is, afterall, just a game. :lol:
