Hi,
In real life, there were always some pilots who refused to kill pilots in parachutes, even some aces on the Axis side. My impression is that the more successful the pilot, the less likely he would be to approve of such a thing, in historical terms. To me it would seem that those who strive for being better in every area would be the least likely to do such a thing in real life.

As for IL-2, I think most pilots have done it as newbies just to see what happens.
