I'm no mod guy or anything but i'm starting to get tired of seeing multiple threads that lead to the same question or answer, but yes, all you do is open up the weapons_ru with notepad, it isn't necessary though, the only thing important in adding aircraft is to add the lines in the air.ini

You get used to it after awhile Rad, believe me.(From someone who has been here since the first mod was released)

I myself will probably never get used to it, but instead deal with it
