GIMP is the answer no matter what

Why is GIMP so important? I have made quite successful skins with paint. :-? :-? I can send you one for a Lerche that I created.

well, actually GIMP is great because you can manage layers which can make skinning a whole lots easier and templates are available so that it shows like it's been weathered also you can paint without worrying about painting over bolts, lines and other details. another great thing are it's features and effects you are able to select certain areas that you want painted, just take a look at my MiG-17 & B-25 skin job, these are some of the first i actually took my time with, trust me beats Paint everytime
