I feel too that it is obvious. They are trying to stretch the thing as far as they can. IL-2 really is a big, solid base for the thing to stand.

Hi Gentlemen ;o)
I have another opinion concerning the name of this game:
I think Storm of War (or IL2 Cliffs over Dover) is a soft designed for fans who like to play WWII sims. There is a couple of years that this soft would have been released, so a lot of fans are waiting for it. In this case, it is a good marketing action to call it "IL2 COF", because IL2 Sturmovick and 1946 are well known and this is like a quality certification... According to me that's why they took this name. We are on a specific market in PCgames, that is not for FPS player, WOW's fans or a big public... it's for WWII sims fans only, for guys who like history and would like to fly in this context. Moreover, WWII sims fans know for a long time that this is not an update for IL2 but a new game (such as IL2 Pacific fighters)...
Another time, this is only an opinion, and I'm not telling to you that you're wrong ;o)
Cheers,
Ted
Hi, Ted
I agree with everything that you wrote here in the bigger picture of things. It just feels weird to me after a few years of reading about "Storm of War: Battle of Britain." I feel that "Storm of War" is a fantastic label for a series of WW2 releases and would prefer that they keep it, but I can go along with "IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover."
Thank you for your comment.
