Despit the fact that only a few awards where different, like the "Frontflugspange für Schlachtflieger in Bronze/Silber/Gold" or "Frontflugspange für Aufklärer in Bronze/Silber/Gold" or "Frontflugspange für Transport- und Luftlandeflieger in Bronze/Silber/Gold" and so on, every Soldier could earn a Ritterkreuz for example. The highest award was only given once to Hans-Ulrich-Rudel the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Gold Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds. And he was a Stuka-pilot.
