It was James H. Kindelberger who came up with the idea to built a Pursuit Fighter that would meet the RAF Fighter Command's Performance Tests, Edgar Schmued was the lead engineer in the project of building the NA-73X which was the Prototype of the P-51 Mustang. I sure am glad they built it. :mrgreen:
