For all of us interested in WW1 aviation here is a show worth seeing. Went to this years show with one of my sons. The main theme is WW1 aircraft a lot of them owned by Sir Peter Jackson the film maker of "Lord of the rings " , "King Kong" and the upcoming "Hobbit". There is also a heritage museum along side the Omaka airfield with action displays of WW1 aircraft. This only happens every 2 years at Easter and the year following the "Wanaka" air display. Both venues are in the South Island of New Zealand, Wanaka in the Southern Lakes area and Omaka near Blenheim in the North of the South Island. Here is a link for those interested in having a look a clips from the Airshow. We hope to return to this terrific show again in 2013.
