Yes, that was bonkers too! So bonkers the Germans tried to complete the project but they couldn't make the thing fly properly. In all fairness though the French did come close to some startling winners. The Bloch 157, tested in 1942 after a long winded completion by the Germans, achieved a level speed of 440mph and certainly raised their unflappable prussian eyebrows.
