Most canard designs of this period were plagued with development problems. Maybe it was the urgency of the late war, or simply good fortune in the design process, but the Shinden does appear to have had relatively minor problems in the first prototype that were quickly addressed. Not quickly enough as it turned out, but there you go.

Love it, but one problem, the 30mm cannons shake the plane around like there is no tomorrow, shooting down bombers is easy but for fighters you'd need to be at close range, did there happen to be a version of this plane with machine guns? or am I thinking of something else?
