Carrier Catapult mod version b4 (updated 3/14/2009)

[Mods]
CatapultBoost 1

That's exactly right. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you add this to your mission file then later edit and save that mission in the Full Mission Builder, these lines won't be there any more. You'll have to add them again. That's the same with with wind parameters in the wind mod.

I know that's a pain in the butt, and some day Real Soon Now I'm gonna fix it.

Ramstein,

You need to use WindMod. We have used this Mod for a long time and it is the answer. Adding it to your mis file is all it takes. All players would need to also have it installed to get the wind.

Thank you so much for this catapult mod, I love taking off of carriers in the BI-6 now.

THX!
Great MOD!

An exceptionnal mod for the "fond of carrier operations". Many thanks!

I would like to add for the "I can't take off with full loaded Corsair" guys:
The F4U-1's available with the game were NEVER used full loaded (ie 3 bombs 1000 Lbs+8 HVAR + 100% fuel)
The F4U-1 had simply not enough punch to take off full loaded.

Find us some documents or other which proves they can take off like thath, and then we will discuss about it.

Thanks for this MOD! This is huge for squad coops in the Pacific Theater.

Be advised Zekes vs Wildcats don't want anyone using anything but what comes with the UI now and are talking about banning anyone who does.

IE

Oh what a crock! People need to calm down... How is THIS a cheat?

If you had read this thread, you would see I posted some documents and links to them about carriers and the Corsair and other aircraft.. the carrier types and the years used... (you think the catapults were there for decoration?? You think the Corsairs only took off with a stinking 1,000 pounds of weapons loadout at most with that huge freaking power plant engine?). How you balance your fuel load and wepons load is up to you. I personally only use 50% fuel with a weapons load in the 2 to 3 thousand pound range,,, In real life that is about the loadout used. I consider that fully loaded. Previous to having no catapult working, you could not use what was in real life. The modder righted a huge wrong.

I guess I had the foresight thinking someone like you would come along to harrass us..so I had already posted documents and the links before you said no one did... and documents and info is interesting..

You really need a chill pill ,, and maybe much, much more...

Zekes vs Wildcats, I thought they were totally adamantly against any MOD

I had carefully read the links and infos you posted. But, since you claim "Do you think Corsairs only took off with a stinking 1,000 pounds of weapons loadout at most with that huge freaking power plant engine?" , I think you haven't read them well.

Carrier-based operations for Corsairs with heavy bomb loads were more questionable. The pilots of VMF-124 and VMF-213, newly assigned to the Essex, experienced many problems with the loaded Corsair. However, after several operational crashes, [color=red]they decided that the Corsair could carry a 1,000-pound bomb
