Followed Eldon's instructions and all works perfectly!! Thanks fella.

I installed QMBminus and it has deleted the default maps in QMB maps selection but has new maps(Channel, Malta etc) that I included in the Conf.ini. Is it possible to get them back, if so, how?

Old default maps are hardcoded into game and you can call them through Custom setting.

For example if you want to play old Crimea missions put Crimea in conf.ini under one of Custom slots.

Something like this

Custom9=Crimea

For other maps just add their names too.

I have unzipped QMBPlus1.1 and inside is folder called Files, readme says "Unpack content of Files folder in your Files folder" Now my Files folder contains another folder called files so do I unpack into Files or files?

Readme for QMBPlus was written for old version of wrapper. Things have changed in the meantime.

Here is what you need to do:
Here is how it goes.

1.Step
There is folder Missions in your Il2 folder. It have couple of subfolders like Campaign, Net, Single.
Make another sub folder there and name it Quick.

2.Step
Put all of the QMB missions there.

3.Step
Put QMBPlus files( those with funny names ) into Il2/Mods/QMBPlus folder.

In QMBPlus you have some maps coded into QMB, you add other maps through conf.in.

Hey FC - did you ever get round to releasing a QMB+ that allowed direct access to the FMB? I've used QMB+ since it was released (my first ever Mod Smile ) and I remember reading that such a feature was in development. I've sort of lost track of whether it was finished/released.

It is included in QMBMinus, I thought that new version of QMBPlus will come soon but Ships took too much time.

I'm working on new version of QMB currently and it will have FMB button among the other improvements. In fact I'm not sure should I make new QMB Minus which enable users to have only the maps they like or to make QMBPlus with some of the maps coded from the start.

You can replace QMBPlus engine with QMBMinus if you want but in that case you need to add maps from QMBPlus into conf.ini if you want to play them.

HMMM.... Followed these instructions but now that Ive just accesed the qmb in game, the new maps show up but there are no missions listed. How do I load one of the missions that came with QMBplus?

I don't get it at all. Can we have a detailed, updated readme, please? I did everything it said on the readme, but it resulted in me not putting the .tga's and so on nowhere - they arent even mentioned. I then followed what was written above, but, no mention of them there either! What do I do? This looks like a really useful mod, but I have ABSOLUTELY no idea how to install it, if I'm not told.

rigamortiz- First of all I assume you have the mod wrapper installed, so you now have a folder in you main Il2 folder called "MODS". Just begin by putting the entire QMB+ folder into the MODS folder.
Then go to you Il2/Missions folder to see if you have a folder in there called "Quick"- If you don't have one create one.
Go back to your QMB+ folder and look inside for a folder called "missions" Open it and copy the contents and paste them into the aforementioned "Quick" folder.
Then find you config.ini file in the game's main directory and open it with notepad. Add the appropriate lines for each new map that you want to have appear in QMB, as described in earlier posts here. When you open QMB in game you should now see a listings for each new map in the drop down box. If one of these maps does'nt load, it's probably because you don't yet have a "none" mission in your quicks folder for that particular map.
If you don't have one, make one up in FMB as described here and save two versions, one for Red side and one for Blue.
Now you should be able to set up simple dogfight missions in any map you have set up in QMB+.
This should be enough to get you started.
The other most common problem folks seem to be having (myself included) occurs when using new beta maps such as Libya or ItalyAfricaGreece, or any new map that does not came with a self installer; In order for a map to be used by the game it must not only be in the Maps folder, it must also be entered as a line of code in the file called "all.ini" in the folder MODS/MAPMODS/Maps.
The self installed maps such as the slot maps add the code automatically but the others require you to add the lines yourself in notepad- these lines are usually included in the zipfile the maps come in when you download it, so it's just a simple cut-and-paste job.
Good Luck and Have Fun!

Hi Fatcat, Is there any way that i can add other mission types, as in the way scramble and strike have already been added.

I'd quite like to have Escort, and maybe bomber,

I tried adding

quick.Escort Escort

to the gui_ru. file, hoping it might be that simple, but alas no!

Thanks for your great program,

There is no simple way to that and if you consider all of the problems with Data corrupt error it seems that less options is the best for majority.

One of the workaround can be creating another Custom entry with same map and use targets slots for missions of different type. So mission name will be scramble for example but you will know that on England2 target scramble load escort mission.

Or, make Custom9=EnglandEscort and use all target slots for different escort mission.

Making targets easy and logical to use is not very easy, on some maps some missions are impossible so whatever you do there will always be some problems .

I did a search and came up with nada. The default airforce in the quick missions is always Russion. Is there a way to change this?
