Hello all, just a small update to show what has been going on lately.
I've now finished the small road network I intended and added these to the ed maps.
Diagrams and maps I have of the area vary in how they portray the passage of some of
these roads so I've done what I could to place them. This is especially difficult in the
highlands as it is difficult with the map tools to get a good flat surface for the roads, and
equally difficult to to make something that could be realistically usable when climbing up
into the highlands and comming down through another route. In reality passes or tunnels
would probably have been blown through some hills and areas carved into hill sides to get
road and rail to the intended spot. Il-2's tools do not allow such subtly so I've had to take
the best course possible.
Between Dalat and the road to Buon Ma Thuot.
The ed maps in the Sepia tone. Most of the titles are now Black. The paler colour is rail.
The ed maps in colour. Roads are Red, rail Black. I have not used seperate colours
for highways or country roads they all appear as Black
In most instances road and rail run together so it is not easy to destinguish them in some
places unless you zoom in. I'm still trying to find a colour combination that I like for the
coloured ed map.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.
