all in a matter of speaking... any thing can happen..... any thing can be built from the game... includeing planes, FM's, MUCH MUCH more....it's just manpower and knowledge that has to do with all of it. Just wait... and im sure we could see a Horten XVIII, Blohm & Voss BV 138
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:BV138.jpg
or even a FL282 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:FL282_USAF.jpg

It's all a matter of time, Tongue

im not against FM modding for 4.05 as it is no longer played online & therefor up to the indivuel user wether they want the fm tweaks or not

313_Sheddan - i think you have too many options in your poll - i think i have nothing against it & do it - should be the same option

I see the point some are making: "No Wildcat with jet engines" and so forth. However some of these new flyable, ai, a/c could use some small adjustments. The TBF/M, C-47, B5N2, B6N2, etc. I see no problem with that. They'll be no faster only easier to handle with better CG.

Easyer to handle yes, faster no.... ever flowen the TB-Avenger.... it banks way to much left

the only fm change i think i agree with is changing/adding weapons, and that goes for 4.08 as well

i think that we have long been due for things like:
- mg 151/20 gondolas and bomb for bf-109f-4
- rockets for fm2 wildcat
- rockets for fw-190f-8 (there is a version of rm4 missiles that were used in th ef-8)
- rockets for the U-2VS
- rockets for the Su-2
- Paratroopers for the TB-3
-etc...

that is my opinion

yes,

you are not confusing the TB-3 (as in Tupolev 4x engine bomber) with the Avenger (TBF-1/TBM-3) are you? TB-3 was used as a paratrooper transport.

Source: "Soviet Combat Aircraft of the Second World War Volume Two: Twin Engined Fighters, Attack Aircraft and Bombers" by Yefim Gordon, Dmitri Khazanov, Alexander Medved

Pg142 picture caption "TB-3s also earned their keep as paratroop platforms."; "Paratroops departed the TB-3 via the trailing edge of the wing."

"It was still not really safe to use the aircraft for bombing, so in an attempt to avoid heavy losses the command decided to use it only as a transport to drop cargo by parachute. The TB-3 had been evaluated in this role before the war. [...] [I]t could also accomodate 35 soldiers with ammunition or 30 equipped paratroopers. [...]

"In the autumn of 1941 [...] The Soviet command decided to transport the 5th air Assault Corps to the region [Orel], and 6,000 personnel along with ammunition, armament, trucks and guns were delivered there by air in three days. Two thirds of the 60 aeroplanes which participated in this operation were TB-3s, and all of the flights were made in daytime without fighter escort. No losses were reported during the operation.

The TB-3s also operated in January 1942 as paratroop carriers for Vyazma, and September 1942 around Dnepr.

These could be interesting missions, especially since the TB-3's are fully flyable and with gun positions.

I must say I am curious who will judge the new flight models. For example: one man say the roll rate in Spitfire Mk I is good and the other will say no, it's too fast. Oleg gives us one FM for all players and we must agree with that if it pleases us or not.

I hope I expressed myself clearly. My English is terrible.

I'm sure you realise that there will be many real aviation experts that would disagree with Olegs interpretation of these game fm's...
Oleg has brought us this great game it is true, and many thanks to him and his team of course, but there are others that can improve this game even further, you only have to use some of the mods on this site to realise that.. Oleg is not the only 'god' of simulation games.. We have some of our own here as well.. It's a pity some people can't seem to get that into their heads..

You don't understand me.

I LOVE ALL OF THESE MODS !!!

I use and enjoy many of them. One of the greatest moders, Ranwers, is my countryman.
My question is who will be THE FLIGHT MODEL GOD who will say us:

YES ! that climb speed, roll rate, max speed etc. etc. without doubting is historicaly correct.

Every serious FM moder will provide real life source ( flight test) that was base for modeling. So if in game plane match RL test and specification than model is good.

That situation will come if and when they have found a way to add other new aircraft.. (Maybe)

IMO If a person builds a Model and or wants to make a FM adjustment on a standing FM he should research it and then add and do the best to tweak it and come as close as possible.

I was not their in WWII and did not sit behind a stick but if you mix a little book datat with pilot data I think more planes and FMs can be added.

I flew with the 1% crew for CFS 2 for quite some time and they created a file checker and it work great for competitions. I know this might not be able to be done but go for it.

Would luv to have an early spit or adjust boost of a hurri to take on a 109E or even 109F.

Anyway my 2 cents.

Just do the best you can!
