RAF_Leigh Wrote:im all for a french plane but can i ask how long was the French Air Force in the war for?
asheshouse Wrote:The French were there long enough to warrant some attention, not forgetting subsequent Vichy activity.
However if you want to get the modellers interested I think it is better to focus on a single aircraft and to identify which existing aircraft or parts of aircraft can be used to create it.
Have I mentioned the similarity of the Dewoitine D520 to the LaGG 3?
Some comparative profiles might be interesting.
SHVAK Wrote:Hi,
Just take a close look at the Loir Neuport 401/411.....what a wonderfull plane
It's great, its a french version of a stuka, dive bomber of the era, look at the modern all round cockpit (later used in fighters),Retractable wheels with dive brakes on wheels...even the tail wheel, arrester hook for carrier ops......conclusion, great bit off kit!!
Anyone knows what happened tom the french carrier - Bearn?? did it get sunk???
