An Arado 196 on wheels rather than floats would make a passable Ar-96, at least in its gunnery trainer guise.

Many parts of the Ar 196 to the Ar 96 (or Ar 396) are different. Only two big examples; the engines and the wings.

But your idea isn`t bad - but it would be better, if somebody can re-design a Ar-96 from a Ar-196.
