IL2-MAT Manager refuses to work
#16

I got it to work.

I uninstalled MAT Manager. I then removed manually, all of the .tga files left by MAT Manager in: Paintschemes/Regiments, and the MAT manager.exe's and setup files that are left after uninstall, and the CoopRegiment folder. I kept the il2.exe, and the ClearCache=0 entry. Reinstalled MAT manager in the deffault location, and verified that it works.

It works! Big Grin

I guess the installation order is finicky, and I've had to do very different things to get MAT Manger to work on my different installations.

The way I found which files to remove manually from the game folder before re-installation was by looking at the files that were in the folder that I extracted the MAT files to when I tried to get it to work by extracting MAT Manager to a folder that was not the Il2 1946 root folder.

I had duplicates of these files in both the games root folder, and the folder that I had used to extract to a different place as needed to make my 4.08m (on XP) work. This I think resulted in my discrepancies as described in my above posts.

Once I got rid of these, and reinstalled in the default location over 4.09m1b+AAAUI, everything worked o.k.

okay, i downloaded MAT manager. it comes up fine, but when i hit load and x it out, about 200+ error topics come up. they contain messages such as: ,,yellow emblem cannot be found and copied", and things like that.
