Just been trying this out. ---- Brilliant!

Does this open up any opportunities for catapult launch from other ship types?

Seaplane launches from warships?
CAM ships on the Murmansk run?

Does the rest of my squad mates require this program for it to work for them too when I'm hosting a co-op? Great work by the way, just awesome! Big Grin

The mod is amazing!! But as others I believe it need more power. AI hability to use it will be cool too. Anyway thanks a lot for the work!!

This sounds like an awesome idea.

I like that it automates you to a position...

is there any way that this could also work for parking your plane on the sides of the deck to specific locations so others don't park over you?

both mod are made by him so I think he has already tought about taking his own mod lolll :roll: :wink:

I think i found some sort of glitch or conflict between 2 mods. The carrier take off and the catapult mod. First off the planes aren't take off correctly any more. Also There is a HUGE drop in FPS. As soon as all the AI are gone. Then it runs smoothly..

Yes, anyone wishing to get a cat shot will need to have this in their MODS folder.

American, we've been testing this mod for a couple of weeks over at Air Group 51, and we have not seen any such annomilies such as you describe. Most of the testing has been carried out in coops though.

I can say this to all without qualification, this mod combined with the carrier takeoff and wind config mods - all by Fireball - have totally revolutionalized the PF sim! You can now realistically operate from Jeep carriers with fully loaded aircraft without artificially adjusting the ship's speed to something higher than is historically correct. It has turned this game into an extremely realistic WWI/WWII/Korean war combat simulator.

With the advent of the catapult, all we need now to begin getting serious about a Korean war scenario is Jagr's P-80 project to be released. Then it will fall on the 3rd BG to finish their map of Korea and we're off to the races!! :lol:

Thanx for the Catapult mod! but, unfortunately, it will not launch the Corsair up, up and away. There is not even close enough catapult power to launch it without the plane falling off the end of the deck. It needs serious punch to launch planes. As it is now, I cannot use it at all. Sure, I can park the plane by it, put the chocks in, and it sets the plane and catapult, it simply does not have enough Puuuushh!!! Ummph!

I too have a conflict, but can't tell which 2 mods are conflicting. When I dropped this one in my MODS folder, I got a huge FPS drop too. I do not, however have the carrier take off mod, so I am at a loss as to what this mod could be conflicting with.
