[UPDATED] New MG Sounds for early BF109s (7.92mm)
#16

!S

I just added a "sped-up" version of these sounds for those of you who wanted it. I hope you like these better! Big Grin

But I did go into game and test the original sounds vs. fire rate. I even took video and slowed it down. Can't see any problems with the original sounds and fire rate. But this is like Burger King, so you can have it your way!

Enjoy!

Well...the matching up of the sound and the animation is one consideration, but my first thought was that the "MG 17" had a rate of fire at 1200 RPM. Which was the same as the MG 42...the MG42 had a very recognizable sound (one that is similar to the "stock" mg sound). The Allied 303 (Browning), found on the Spitfire & Hurricane, had a rate of fire at 350 RPM. Too me, the sound you first offered sounded more like an Allied Browning then a German MG17.... 1200 RPM vs 350 RPM.

I know the MG 42 is NOT an MG 17, but they have the same rate of fire per minute (1200)...

A (303) Bren gun at 500 RPM...

Anyway...thanks for the hard work. Smile

You're correct....

I just put this sound together to try to match the animation as best I could. I've got a later sound pack coming out, where I'm going to be using the actual sounds of many different guns and cannons (the real things, where possible).
