Germany have used the MiG-29 for ages. Probably a lot of leftovers from the Cold War, not to mention it's an excellent fighter.

Yup, when Germany merged into one again in 1990 (from the DDR and BRD), they still had MiG-29s from the DDR.
WW2 ended on 3rd October 1990, just so you know.
