Well, I don't think the B-45C ever dropped one in Korea in combat, but I could be wrong about that. I know it made anti-flak runs. The B-29 was tested with a guided Tall Boy called Tarzon. I'm not quite sure what you're looking for, Mechanist, so I've attached a variety of photos and a video...

Wow! I'm amazed! Correcting the gear cover now!

Any internal picture of the bomb bay, and a picture of the bottom will be helpful either. And some question:
Is the wingtip fuel tank removeable?
Any information about AN/APQ-24?
Is there any ejection seats in the plane?

Mechanist, take a look at the bombbay doors. They appear to be a bit more complicated than just two doors hinged at the top. It looks like there are two doors on each side. Great pictures Mustang!

The bombbay doors in my model consist of 4 parts, the top parts on each side are rotating, the bottom parts are rotating and moving upwards about half of its own height. If i'll be within the 3500 polygon limit at the finnishing of the D0 modell i'll add some detail to that section definetly.

When it comes to low-poly modelling, you have to face with a lot of compromises...

Right now, I can't find any pictures of the bomb bay, but I'll keep looking. On the B-45C and RB-45C, the wing-tip tanks were not removeable. Ejection seats were installed on the B-45A being one of the major differences that the B-45A had with the XB-45. The ejection seats would have been kept on all subsequent models. Anything else other than then bomb bay pics?

That limit is a joke - it doesn't exist. You can happily go up to 20,000 - even 30,000+, and it will be fine. The only real limit is that per object, so any given piece (such as the CF_D0) cannot go above 3,000.

Now that I look closer at your model, I can see that. This is going to be a beautiful bird!! Big Grin You guys (folks that make these planes for IL-2) are GODS! I wish there were some way to adequately express my gratitude, other than just saying "thank you".

As i'm finnishing up the D0 modell i need somebody who can help me to import my modell in the game, so i can test it and correct it before i go further. I read the articles about it, i tried it my self but, "no joy", so i turn to the community to help me out, please you would like to see this bird fly and you have the knowledge how is that possible, please contact me. I can learn things preaty quickly, all i need is some mentoring! Thanks in advance!

If you have it mapped, texture assigned, and LOD'd up, with hooks, & collision objects, then drop me a line and I can talk/walk you through it. If you do not have these bits done, wait till you do, then look into it; otherwise its not worth the stress over importing it at this stage - its too much stuffing around if its incomplete.

Thanks for the advice, I certanly will! I'm not familiar with modding this sim, my other squad members doing mods for the Lock-On an if they have the smalest parts done they export it in to the game to see how it fits, you know to see the problems with smothing groups etc... But if this sim work another way i assume i follow that way.

The smoothing groups will be an issue that you will need to rectify, however, with the current level of the Buggy Buggy (Best universal exporter pluggin for max we have available) it is flawed, it will change your smooth groups to 1; so it does pay to check. But, speaking from experience, I'd wait till you have the above done, at the very least the mapping and hooks before attempting the export. As I said, send me a PM and I will talk you through it.
