Hi mate!

I'm always too rude!!

In my previous post I only specify what I mean with my list: I think that is hard to translate properly in a foreign language....some words can have different feeling!!!

I hope that someone can catch the spirit of the missing plane and make some of them...I belive that even only one modded can be a great goal for everyone!!!!

So, dear cibule , no sorry at all for me: I'm happy of all your replay here....they show interest in Japan plane....and between parenthesis I love and I wait the SHOKI too much!!!

My apologize to all!!!

walter

I'd like a Ki-48 or Ki-49, but a Frances or a Peggy wouldn't hurt....

walter_solito Wrote:KI51 - SONIA - (army air to ground)
F1M - PETE - (on board recon)
KI45 - NICK - (army heavy fighter) - I haven't understand if someone are doing it in the meantime
KI48 - LILY - (army light bomber)
J1N - IRVING - (navy recon)
KI49 - HELEN - (army medium bomber)
KI67 - PEGGY - (army & navy medium bomber)
P1Y - FRANCES - (navy medium bomber)

Great list!!....Though you could lose the Ki-67 and even P1Y as they didn't see the service of the others by far. The order of importance and ones I'd really like to see would be the:

Ki-48
Ki-51
Ki-21-IIb (with turret)
Ki-45
Ki-49
Ki-30 / Ki-32
Ki-61-I-Tei (1d)
Ki-43-II Tropica
Ki-15

When I write the MOST NEEDED I mean that I think that those plane are the ones that can fill the gap in the sim ac list for have an historically correct list of japanese aircraft in the 41-45 era:

- I haven't put WIP or SCHEDULED aircraft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (like the KI44)
- I haven't put training aircraft!
- I haven't put transport aircraft! (the MAVIS was so shifted from mid 42)
- I haven't put very heavy bomber! (the IJNA or IJAA haven't tha background for employ them correctly before the end of 47 at least; remember that USAAF use B17/24 from 37 and gain the full maturity in 43 thanks to long range escort)
- I haven't put limited production or prototype!

I have put only the one that I think can be useful for the most of us if realized!

cheers

It's a W.I.P at the moment methinks and Ranwers had something to do with the Barracuda a while ago (it is probably dead now)

Bumping this in that many are really needed for the New Guinea map coming. (Ki-21-IIb, Ki-43-II Tropical, Ki-45, Ki-48, Ki-49, Ki-51, Ki-61-I-Tei).....and were used all over the rest of the theatre as well. Earlier combats desperately need the Ki-15, & Ki-30 / Ki-32.

Like your list Billfish. I would love to see a Ki-48 (Lilly) . In my old CFS2 days I used to spend lots of time in that bird. One I would like to see was not on your list was the Ki-10 (Perry). Something sweet about those IJA light bombers and the Perry is a 1930's work of art. I think the Perry saw limited combat in the CBI.

Just to add my appreciation of this thread too - yes the IJN and IJA are VERY short of aircraft, especially viz USN/USAAF/USMC. I remember somebody saying on the PF dev forum that the game was turning into US fighters!

The most significant without doubt are the Ki-44 Shoki, Ki-45 Toryu and D4Y3/4 Suisei. Slightly less so the J1N Gekko.

Of the bombers the Ki-48, Ki-21-11b, Ki-51, G3M and P1Y are probably the most missed. Slightly less so the Ki-49 and Ki-67 (the latter used by both air arms).

Probably the H4K "Mavis" flying boat should be in there too, even only as ai.

The biggest omission? Without a doubt the D4Y Suisei IJN carrier based dive bomber. We don't have any operational IJN dive bomber from 1943 onwards which is silly. The "Val" in the game is the D3A1 model!!! Not even the D3A2 which was laso left out!!!

For balance the USN's SB2C and TBD should also be added. Vultee Vengeance would be nice too for RAF SEAC ops in Burma.
