Indeed I did =/. I'm now going to try nHancer which was suggested in the great tech guide Fireskull made on these forums.
I'm sure I'll get it all working great in a few days of testing.

Thanks for trying to help though. This would have to be the friendliest forum I have ever seen =D.

EDIT: What I failed to realize is nHancer is for NVIDIA lol.

Hi, and welcome to the best simulation and the best website on it in the whole world!

ATI guys can use the catalyst programs. I have them now listed at the end of my tech topic. Some guys have seen amazing improvements with them.

I'm finding all these gripes people have with the Steam version strange. I've not had a single issue with it since downloading it and I notice no difference when running the il2fb.exe or using the Steam list. My guess is that it has something to do with IL-2 and ATi's drivers.

Also, welcome to IL-2! Smile

Yeh I did all the a while ago the game is running stable now, though I'm really annoyed right because I just completed a mission I've been stuck on for 3 days and of all the places the game crashed in the debriefing page! aarrrghhh!!!

I think it has something to do with the steam overlay program that runs on top of the game when you start it in steam. The Shift+Tab thing, sure it could be drivers that cause that but then without the overlay it works fine so its a combination of the 2 that causes it on my system =P

Huh. AMD needs to give their driver department a pay raise or something then (if only they could afford it). I'm using an nVidia 7800GT and my last card was a Radeon 7000, so I don't have much personal experience with the new ATi cards. It's a shame really, ATi has the upper hand right now but their unpolished drivers are losing a lot of potential customers.

Yeh I use to be more a Nvidia fan but these days I don't really car as much about that sort of thing. I just gets whats good value for money when I buy it.
I remember the days when AMD had the best processors
