missing asset in UK Channel map, and a MB issue
#16

O.K now i Know that you really have to place the camp fires in the buildings (through FMB) for the towers to show up, when i do this, they show but then on leaving the map im asked if i want to save the mission file what do i do at that point. I guess what im asking is how do you alter the map, so that the towers show up in QMB and FMB.

Hi, NIGHTFIGHTER

The towers should be in the mission objects list. Simply save after each session that you make change(s) to the mission and it will keep any and all the things added and changed in your mission.

Hi Fireskull, Thanks for that, but what i was trying to clear up was with the camp fire issue is there a way to install those fires onto canons map, so that when you select the map in QMB also FMB the towers already show. I followed a tutorial posted on the web about the methods of map building (giving me a total new respect for the guys who do that!!) and installed the fires in the buildings near the towers and yes they appeard, but then i had to give my mission a name, this i did. but still when i go to QMB the towers are missing. Im sorry if im becoming a pain in the backside, only what i know about FMB i can wright on a postage stamp. Thanks to the idiot guide ive found about using FMB i can now become more confident with the programme...Many thanks.

If you have installed the QMBPro, you will have some missions in the Quick folder.
C:\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 HSFX\Missions\Quick
In that folder are missions that they are used for the QMB and you have to edit the missions of the Channel map.

Hi, ton414

For the sake of the readers, where does one get the QMBplus?

I recommended it to Nightfighter, in another post.

Quote:Here is the benitomuso's QMBPro version:

With all the information for installation and running.

And I was telling to Nightfighter that these are the files that must be modified for that changes can appear in the QMB.
My folder:
C:\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 HSFX\Missions\Quick

Two Questions ton414, are these the very same missions that came with the original channel download ( if so ive installed them in the QMBpro quicks folder and they wont show up when i hit load) also by what you are saying, if i want the towers to appear, then in each mission i must install a camp fire in the tower surrounding buildings.

Yes, these are the original missions that come with the QMBPro, according to the instructions there are that install them inside the Missions folder.
In my case.
C:\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 HSFX\Missions\Quick

Missions are only for the new map can be loaded in the QMB, and you can choose different options in the QMB.

I think if you have to modify all the missions, because if you only modify some missions, maybe when you choose different options in the QMB, not always appear the changes that you make.

You should do backup.

The missions of the QMBPro, (Quick folder into Missions folder), they are to load the new maps in the QMB, and they can be edited in the FMB.

Hi, i think ive worked out the mission not loading problem, all the missions in the Qmb pro download are Mis.Files, only one (last mission) is a QMB. file, hence the reason the only one showing up in the QMB load mission bar is "Last Mission". Even in Canons original download of his airfield, all his free missions are Missions. files not QMB. Files. Now ive just to find some Channel QMB Files  . As for changing the maps, it would make more sence to be able to alter the main maps that canon produced rather than altering the maps for each mission.

NIGHTFIGHTER,

Once again we have drifted far off topic with you.

Please create your own topic in the IL-2 Technical Help forum and name it something like this:

Where to get the QMB Map ADD Mod?

Feel free to discuss the adding of maps to QMB in that topic.
