Here is some more info Slow, as long as this is just a beta update [Image: Bf110-G4engine.jpg] notice the right wing engine of the Bf110-G4 had the exhaust ported to below the wing the exhaust stack closest to the pilot on the right wing engine was turned upside down and had large air scope on top of the engine cowling.

did as you suggested, Slow - uninstalled the plane entirely, reinstalled original - tested it, worked fine. then added the update package as per instructions, and i get the same error message again! :???:
Any ideas on this one would be much appreciated, i was really looking forward to this update.... Cry :???: Sad

Okay. This should fix the problem (which shouldn't arrise in the first place...)... Copy "Overlay8.mat", call the clone "Overlay9.mat". Restart IL-2.

Just to give you some better info, to help with any issues in the future, what i did to get it to work for the first time, was to fly as allied, and not german. hey presto, it worked!
then i tried again as german, and it still worked. Big Grin all my previous attempts to fly it were initially as german, and it crashed. changing to allied fixed it...
so, i hadn't tried the fix you mentioned previously, but got it working anyway. i'm assuming those overlay files have to do with markings, then?
it was a bit strange, but hopefully this info will be of some use to you somewhere down the road... 8)

Yes, the overlays have got something to do with the markings ^^
