1. the first one generates smoke the other one generates fire.
2. I have already explained that in your frist post.
3. I think you can't . In fontain.eff try to change the GasResist and VertAccel, but you will get an unnatural effct.( As i know in some effects you can change the lasting time but in some others you can't , i think somer .class files control the lasting time for some effect files, like you can't give 10-15 minutes lasting time f

Downloaded it and tested the explosions, beautiful, that's something I always thought that needed to be changed for better since the first day I played IL-2.

250 kg bomb already has this effect too, i can make it smaller but 500kg bombs uses the same effect file so they will have smaller effect too!sorry (oleg did't made separate effect for each kind of bombs).

Ehmm.. no sorry stuka_40 this is what i have with 250 (and 500kg) bombs..
No "fountain effect at all, only default "fire - ball" as you can see.. besides 1000 kg bomb work well= fountain-terrain effect.. what's wrong?
Hmm! as i see your fontain.eff file in bomb250 doesn't work! ( the fireball is not default, it's mine and working) why i dont know exactly?
did you made some changes in your own? anyway does your fontain.eff file inside bomb250 look like this?

check this line:
MatName ..\..\..\Materials\dirt_spray_large3.mat!
does it points 4 folder backwards? if not make the changes (or copy and past from here) and save it.
test, if it didn't work again do like this:
open fontain.eff inside bomb250 folder with notepad and change the yellow coloured line to this (or copy and past)
Code:
MatName dirt_spray_large3.mat
save it!
observe! the space between MatName and dirt_spray_large3.mat
make a copy from dirt_spray_large3.mat and dirt_spray_large3.tga located in Materials folder and past them inside bomb250 folder.
Test, if it worked
let it be, if not i'm helpless
i don't know why, it doesn't work for you but it does work for me and others!

sorry to hassle you again mate, with a few questions. (but i will anyway).
1. Is it possible to change the effect for the 5000kg bomb, and the 4000lb "cookie"
2. Is it possible to change the effect for rockets and/or machine gun/canon rounds when they impact the ground.
3.Is it possible to add some smoke to bridges when they get destroyed, and maybe to up the damage value of them.

VAS_Bomb_Expl + Fire v1.0" and is my first mod that handle bombs explosion and burning buildings.
Also after download you will find this "VAS_Bomb_Expl + Fire v1.0" folder inside zip archive file.
