I found that the simplest way to adjust the height overall upon any map is to load the map_h.tga into Photoshop and slightly alter the contrast...more contrast...more height.....

Yea this is what i think i starded to understand...i did something like this to try that but verry quickly, and as i never retried i didn't compared or checked for changes. But thanks because THIS point urge me a lot!!!! It's THE big priority for the moment, after comes the improvement of actual texture......and Kadena for mister Jaymom.

OMG!

This is FABULOUS!

Here are a couple of screenshots from an old Dolittle mission I made before 4.08 using the new textures. I have to say it's a big improvement!





(i know, i know, there were no Wildcats on that mission but it's designed for squadron play and it gave everyone something to fly)

Framerates were excellent too. 47 > 60 FPS even during the bombing run.

If the cities and roads from Google Earth look too modern...try this......load the textures into Photoshop and reduce the contrast a bit...and change the tone to make it look a bit more yellow.... this should alter the roads and concrete buildings to look more like simple dusty roads and corrugated iron roofs or thatched houses...
