There is always one that misses something and can't get the simplest thing to work. I unzipped this folder to temp folder on drive and was unable to get anything to open except the "H" icon in tool bar . Then I unzipped folder in to the main IL-2 folder and still no open program or options..???? :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:

It sounds to me as if someone did not read the instruuuuuctions
I included a bit more basic 'where to begin' text in the latest 3.1 update, that I finished and uploaded just minutes ago. See the first post of this topic for details and download link. The program and it's folder can be unzipped anywhere, and maybe it's easier not to have it in the IL-2 folder. Start by reading the "where to begin", and go from there.

I have a Saitek Quadrant too, by the way.
Just to help out for AFTER you have come as far as to figure out which ID slot your Saitek Quadrant is located on (nothing that I can control, or even know, nor my program), to make it easier for you to assign buttons and levers.

Let's assume that your Saitek Quadrant is located on ID slot 3 (it is probably 2, 3 or 4), then we put the number 3 first. At the end is the lever letter, or a button:

3joyx (this is the first lever)
3joyy (second lever)
3joyz (third lever)

3joy1
3joy2 (these are the first rocker switch buttons, up and down)

3joy3
3joy4 (these are the middle pair)

3joy5
3joy6 (the last pair)

3joy7 (the thrust reverser 'button' - when you pull your first lever all the way down to the bottom)
3joy8 (same, for the second lever)
3joy9 (same, for the last lever).

This doesn't make sense to you now, but after you read the instructions and all that, it will and can be useful.

Let me know how it goes and post if you have any questions - after reading ALL the instructions
It is really easy to set up, especially if you only want to use some throttles and nothing else. Some of the other features are a bit more advanced and require a bit more setting up.

Kind of related, as much of the Multi-Throttle support had the G940 in mind:

FEATURES:

- Allows you to make each button change it's light when pressed, and set some details regarding how slow it should change, if there should be any transition light, and lets you have two profiles to choose between to keep you lights in syncronization with your aircraft in game.
- This program does NOT make your G940 button lights do anything other than what you tell them in this program, when you press the specific button in question. They can't know what goes on in the game you are in or anything to that extent.

It features two individual profiles you can switch between in game. Useful for example, when you want your landing gear in IL-2 to be red when up, and green when down. You set it to start as green as you typically fly from the runway, but online or in whatever situation, you can find yourself starting in the air. Thus having a second profile where everything is the same except you set your landing gear button to start as red instead (indicating gear up) lets you keep the button color in sync somewhat with what you want it to indicate from the game. Or whatever other functions you have in mind. mileyhappy:

Version 3.2 uploaded now.

A major reworking and effort to make it much faster, easier to set up and to understand, as well as special G940 support, defines this version.

- Added .ini free configuration of throttles. G940 recieved automatic configuration.
- Added 'reversal bug' fix for G940 throttles, and optionally also of elevator + rudder trims (which also have an optional range reduction to avoid overly sensitive trimming).
- Added ability to tweak G940 throttle output to match each other's position in-game if not matching.
- Cleaned up, reorganized and renamed files and folders to fool-proof even more.
- Changed launcher to display a pop-up with instructions, and clicking "OK" to enable instead of "ALT-G".
- Removed fuel mixture and radiator support (troublesome and not fool-proof; never heard of anyone using it either).

And I just remembered, I also tweaked some of the scanning intervals that might make it work better on a select few systems.

I can always add fuel mix and radiator back later if there's any demand for it. But for now, making all these things work in a more user friendly, auto-set up kind of way was complicated and time consuming enough - I was afraid I would simply not get this update out at all if I tried to include those features, due to being 'buried' with the amount things that needed to be updated.

When I made it, I did not realize that G940 users out there sometimes did not have the standard device ID order (i.e. G940 stick on ID1, throttle on ID2 and rudder on ID3). This is the reason for your troubles. The program is listening for the throttle buttons on ID2 in order to trigger a change of color, but your throttle isn't on ID2. I will release an updated version within about one hour. I will write a scanner to scan all the ID slots until the G940 throttle and stick is found, then reassign the buttons properly inside itself.

Meanwhile, this means that probably some other device you have (on ID2, whatever it may be - maybe the G940 stick) will make the button lights change Try starting the program and pressing, on the G940 stick, S3, S4, S5 and the 'dual stage trigger'. Not useful but maybe a but amusing.

Yes, they will work fine. They run individualy, but have no problems running at the same time. In fact, that's how I use it for flying (although I have spent neary 100% of my time just developing the G940 lights + Multi-throttle in the past month). Using the "Twin engine" for G940 setup is great if you set the P5 and P6 buttons to be dark when starting, but turn red if pressed (feather propeller!).

I've done most of the work updating the lights program already.. took most of the code from the multi throttle program. Just a bit longer, have to bug test.

Because I use all my button.
Exemple:
if I start engine, the light turn green, and then in flight I jettison droptank (the same button but with switcher on 2) and the light turn red its was mess.

The lights only react to the default G940 buttons being pressed. That means if they are not set to default P1, P2 etc in another mode, then pressing them in that mode won't make them react. Exactly like you hoped for. Let me know how this works. I plan to bundle this together with multi-throttle as it's a tiny program anyway and useful for all G940 users.

Is it possible to make an option to select himself the switch button (S2)? Like the config of duall throttle.
Because in my case, it allready use in IL2 (my zoom....).
And an other.
When I launch program there is to cmd windows open. They don't use and it can be more "confortable" if they don't appears.

But it was really a great work.

It was not my A config. If I re-re-switch to B, no problem, it's the B config. But A not like the start.

But it's wasn't important. The B config is when you start in flight, so you just switch one time.

Good find. I had left a zero by mistake, when I changed the way that it sends the update to switch between the profiles/modes. Every time switching to profile A, if in profile B, it would make P1 green and then the rest of the buttons would be one step wrong (P2 would get the colour that P1 should have, P3 will have P2, etc). Should be fixed now. Download it again from the link and extract (you can keep your old mikkonfig.ini).

I will put in user configurable profile button in the next version.

many thanks for your work on this fine programm. But i have a little problem and hope you can help me.

I am using the Saitek Yoke, 2 Saitek quadrants, an Saitek pcdash and at least the Saitek pedals.

I used the joystickidentfier and these tools figured out:


Pedals are #2
Quarandt is #3

the quadrant for the throttles, typed all into the ini-file, but i the game always and only the pedals

were found, and i can throttle up the engines with the pedals like in a car. :???:


Every attempt to change the ini-file has no effect on it. What did i wrong?
