But I still did not find a suitable "city" textures for desert areas, so I tried to make some by myself by adapting the stock ones (please let me know if you want to try them).

Yes! I would like to try them!
6S.Maraz Wrote:Hi, these are the textures I made, by altering the colors of the original ones.
TO include new textures you must create the followind directories under maps:
_Tex\land\summer.
(note the _ in "_Tex"!!!!)
Then put the three TGAs into directory summer.
Also replace the lines of your load.ini as follows:
City0 = land/summer/mrz_DownCity.tga
City1 = land/summer/mrz_MidCity.tga
City2 = land/summer/mrz_CenterCity.tga
and at last put these lines into your filelist.txt:
maps/_Tex/land/summer/mrz_MidCity.tga
maps/_Tex/land/summer/mrz_DownCity.tga
maps/_Tex/land/summer/mrz_CenterCity.tga
I am not completely satisfied of these textures, I would like to extract the city textures from the Italy Online map because they are better, and modify them:
City0 = Italy_DF/land/summer/MidCity.tga
City1 = Italy_DF/land/summer/DownCity_dry.tga
City2 = Italy_DF/land/summer/CenterCity_dry2.tga
did someone find them?

It shouldn't be to hard if you know the filename (and you do). Have a look here:
(The link is inoperative)
The solution is given just before Sants gets his present.
lowfighter Wrote:Maraz, you forgot to provide the download link to your textures, hehe :wink:
lowfighter Wrote:Provided they can be opened with a image soft, most of the land textures can't be opened with conventional image soft (same goes for textures of objects in game). This is one thing which if solved, we would have new textures for tanks, ships, TREES etc.
