So i take it from ranwer's/phillip's workaround, that v4.09b is the forgotten hack-patch?
Quote:So, whats the official position, are we going to mod 4.09? If I read wasy correctly it seems he is opposed to modding new version? I don't know if modding 4.09 is a good idea myself....

well i think 4.09 is not really any different in regards to modding - so if we make mods for 4.08 people can freely use them for 4.09 too

I just think it would go a long way towards modding being acceptable if we left the onliners with a "secure" option, i.e. mods 4.08 and leave 4.09 alone. This is merely my opinion but I think relations would improve if this were done. A lot of people who we against the mods but not mean and persecutory about it were simply waiting for 4.09 so they could have that and we could go to town with 4.08. Modding 4.09 will make a lot of on the fence people very upset I think. While I'm not suggesting we should halt our efforts because some people are upset, I do think compromise is in order and this would be a good way to do it.
P.S. I feel like I'm channeling BC, lol.
