Madcat, check the frontal drawings present at page 47. They depict the BMW801 powered version and you can see that the wheels are vertically aligned with the innermost engines. And those engines have a flat bottom to house the gear. The same system is present in the Ju188 (confirmed by the picture Zorin posted. But now, double checking, i've noticed that it was the latter proposal that had the defensive positions reworked (tail turret and chin turret added).
I'm getting confused guys, I need to hear your suggestions: What version should i do?
- BMW801 powered, regular old gear, regular armament (almost done).
- BMW801 powered, Ju188 type gear, regular armament (little to no aditional work on the model).
- BMW801 powered, Ju188 type gear, reworked armament (loads of work).
- Pray to Willy Messerschimitt's ghost to tell me personally.
Still the tail issue remains a mistery. I"m really starting to think that t was NOT V shaped.
