Fantastic, I love it! This is the most realistic 20 mm mod that I have seen. It is modding justice that you two are working together: Please keep the good stuff coming.

Several issues are on my mind.

I know that you might have nothing to do with it, but the sound seems to have only a tad bit too much metallic sound to it. May be it is only my problem. Does this mod work with shell casings mod simultaneously? Thirdly, is a puff of smoke at the barrel of the gun with each shot included in this?

I noticed that some guns in IL-2 lack the realism of the smoke accumulation near the gun if fired many times from a stationary position on the ground. Some WW2 AA guns would make quite a cloud of smoke in the area after a while.

A battery of AA guns on a ship would sometimes produce enough smoke to briefly obscure the target for the gunner.

I only want to help. Smile
First, @ all above: Thank you for the kind replies! Big Grin

I'm glad that the fix did the job and that all is working OK as it should now!

@HG: now I feel all warm & fuzzy inside   Wink

@ Fireskull: I would not know really. As said, I'm using several sound mods and I've lost track where this 20mm sound came from. - Not to say that I'm liking it myself.
Which shellcasing mod do you mean? Smile
The smokepuff is with every shot where a tracerround is fired, this is due to how the particle system works.
An accumulating smokemod however, is very hard - rather nigh impossible to make within the IL2 engine. The sheer amounts of particles needed would degrade the performance rapidly. This 3D spiralsmoke mod already pushes over the limit sometimes - just fly in range of an enemy airfield with 4 Wirbelwinds and observe the mayhem.
With that in mind, I highly doubt it's possible to push the limits even further without running into constant trouble. Smile

Further to philip's reply, the mod only effects tracer smoke trails, nothing else.

I need help with installation with UP2.0.

What I did: extracted the archiv, created an folder which is called "00_Cannon_spiralsmoke_Eexhaton" loike in the readme, then put the folder "3do" into the new folder and placed the "00_..." folder into my "jsgmemods" folder. Then started the JSGME.exe and deactivated all my activated mods and bring this mod to the right sight and started the il2fb.exe. I've tried it with Dora, with Antons eveb with 109s but there was just the normal tracer-smoke.
Tried it with P&E_Weaponsmoke-pack_RC1 too, but same effect.
Can someone help me please?

Do you have game main MODS folder ? just drop the whole " 00_Cannon_spiralsmoke_Eexhaton " mod
as it is in to MODS folder and enjoy !! do not separate 3DO and Effects folders which are inside
00_Cannon_spiralsmoke_Eexhaton mod folder .
If you want to use mod via " jsgmemods " application , then you need a different file structure in order for this mod
to work when enabled via jsgmemods .
It would have to be exactly in order when you open folders:

" 00_Cannon_spiralsmoke_Eexhaton " folder
next inside must be " Files " folder ( you have to create " Files " folder )
next you will place in to inside of this Files folder both "3do" and "Effects" folders , it depends on which smoketrail
mod version you're using .
Combined 3D and 2D mod version have both 3do and Effects folders included.
That's all , then you can anable this mod via JSGME mod selector and it will also work .

Ok, git it now! Was little confused because didn't noticed the word "merged".
Now I've downloaded "P&E_Weaponsmoke-pack_RC1".
Created new folder in jsgmemods "P&E_Weaponsmoke-pack_RC1", created there a "Files" folder and put there the "3do" and "Effects" folders. Activated and started and it runs. Excellent!

Thank you for your assistance and for these great mods!!!
