Confusedhock: Confusedhock: STUNNING!! ..And like I've jet told you on Okinawa tread redko, I LIKE your blended not completely "focuzed" ground effect in low perspective!!
This give me the right feeling to "flight/speed sensation" as (I think) also in RL pilots/fighter may have this equal sensation because their brain would have to select and concentrate more on forward enemy planes or instrument panel instead of looking to a roof of a house or a single pink flower in the ground during flight/fight!
Sorry for my bad english but hope you understand what I mean.. I'm waiting hardly your release of this map!! Big Grin Big Grin

Looking amazing, as usual Smile I might just have to do some research, and make a pack of Iwo-based Planes for use with this map (though most of them were long gone or destroyed well before the invasion). SO much better than the stock version, the one thing I would suggest would be to add a little more color to, at the very least, Mt. Suribachi. Right now it looks almost snowcapped, because of the desaturated colors. A little more browns and yellows would help it out a lot... But, again, it's looking amazing as is, too, can't wait for the release! Big Grin

At first I was skeptical about finding a good combination of texture colors but now I see the results and I like it.
The colors of the vegetation and of suribachi look really good.

Well your skepticism was natural....it was hard to find the good combination.

the questions are :

- is it better now than before?
- does it represents well Iwo?

If it works it would be easy to integrate this too b29 alley map.

I would like for my first A to Z made map do something about the central map of japan, with Tokyo. I really would like to fly this part of the world.

No. the texture take the shape of the mount you can't paint face by face....so its a problem of 3d modeling more than a texture problem.
