Hello!

In the case of the FW 190 there are two canopies: the standard canopy and the blown canopy. In the game, the canopies are divided in an interior view and in an exterior view.

What for .msh and .mat files i have to copy into the files folder, to change the canopies at the planes?

From my limited understanding .msh file is the 3d model and the .mat file is the texture.

I think you may have to change both.

I found a solution for the exterior view:

You have put the disered file Blister1_D0.msh into the files folder and to make an entry into the file filelist. It can happen, that the canopy is not in the right position. Then You have to open the file hier.him and correct the position of the file Blister1_D0.msh. Put the changed file hier.him into the files folder and make also an entry in the file filelist.

But i didn't found a solution for changing the interior view for the canopy. It's possible to change the entire cockpit, but the goal is only changing the interior view of the canopy.

Extract with SFS-Extractor the .sfs-files and then extract all files for the FW 190, plane and cockpit files. There You will find the hier.him-files. There is for every plane and every cockpit such a file.

We need wire_D0.msh + entry in filelist if we want the aerial.

This is a Fw 190A-8 with the standard flat canopy.
The "blown hood" canopy was a innovation installed on late war F-8s, A-9s and was retro-fitted to a limited number of Fw 190A-8.

If someone is interested in this mod I saved the files. How FW 190 A8 said is only for external view.

Thank You, for mention the wire mesh. When You want to fit the plane with another canopy, You have to take also needed wire mesh.
