Fairey Battle

Terrific! I never thought this would be possible. (Don't suppose you could put a Hurricane tail and wing on the Tempest to create a Typhoon?)

Absolutely GREAT!

You're welcome.
I'm happy that somebody enjoys the skin, I made it for a Battle of France campaign (wip, but got distracted by soundmod ) and I never thought that I'll able to fly it

Only the vertical stab and rudder would need changing. Late model Typhoons actually had Tempest horizontal stabs and elevators.
And while putting a Hurri wing on a Tempest would make it look more like a Tiffie, the Typhoon wing was very much different from a Hurricane wing. That plus the cockpit would have to be moved forward on the fuselage.
So its not going to be that easy.
Maybe you should contact Alex Voicu and ask him if you can put this into the sim:

Can't understand what the heck is that?? A new plane using parts of others? If yes that will be incredible! Will love to see a Helldiver, a Spit, a Cr.32...

The temptation to mod flight models and weapons...

Maybe in future could be possible to use planes or cockpits (adapted, of course) coming for others sims (CFS3 and SF series have good graphic quality)....

Actually, that Kate's wing is quite similar to a Typhoon's - slightly cranked and with a thick leading edge.
If we can't import new models into the game, then assembling a Typhoon from 'near enough' bits might be the best that can be done.

Oh dear God NO! I dont want a "near enough" Typhoon, I want a real "accurately modelled" one.

+1
This is a simulation, not a arcade-game. Many pilots want 100% original machines without any mistake (for example the Fw190-bar)

Well you can fly a hacked Fairey Battle or not fly a Fairey Battle at all, let the guys work on it, don't start asking for perfect models, that's what killed almost all the projects for Il2

Pandora's Box has been opened...

but nice job by the way...
How about a Boulton-Paul Defaint (perhaps from the Il-10)
The FM/DM isnt altered is it?

You're right. In fact, there are many mods which I have chosen to ignore, namely flying B-29's with a He111 cockpit, and others which I have openly downloaded because they didnt detract from the essence of the aircraft, like the Mosquito VI cockpit in the Mosquito B IV...
That said, I find this sort of thing ridiculous, especially pushing to have a Typhoon which is made from a Tempest fuselage, B5N wing(which is too big BTW) and a Hurricane vertical stabilizer. That will kill it for me right there.
Its nice to have new planes and all, but its also good to have a standard.
