I have had the high quality trees turned on repeatedly (leading to mixed white and green forests in winter environments) and my difficulty settings reset at least once. This never happened before the exec type installers. Could there be something going on here?

Had similar problems.

With me it resets the [NET] settings in the conf.ini anytime I start IL2 modded (I use the mod with JSGME for online play purpose). E.g. the netspeed is always set to 2000 (Modem 14.4k) which causes incredible warps (not lags! You first notice it as soon as you are in air combat and everyone starts warping, you getting hits without seeing where the shots come from etc.).

Noticed this multiple times during coops or our SEOW online campaign. Quite annoying if you know that the aircraft lost to such things remains lost forever and decreases your side's points.

Any idea what could be the reason for this?

I use the mod switcher available on this site to swap between mod and unmod...with shortcuts on my desktop... very quick and had no problems
